Calculating KCET 2018 Scorecard

The scores obtained in KCET 2018 will be based on some factors. The Factors are as:

The result will be calculated in equal proportion of marks obtained in Kar CET and marks obtained in class 12. Seats will be allocated on the basis of merit scored by the candidates. Candidates are given merit position based on marks secured by candidates in KCET 2018 and marks obtained by candidates in PCM in class 12 Board examination.

How to Check the Karnataka Entrance Test Result

Karnataka Common Entrance Test Results will be out by the last Week of May for the candidates who have appeared for the Entrance Test. The Result will be declared by the Karnataka Examination Authority. Candidates will be able to check the results through the online mode. Candidates who meet the cut off marks shall be able to take admissions in the courses offered like Architecture, Engineering, Ayurveda, Homeopathy and Pharmacy Professional Degree Courses.   • Click on the link provided on the homepage. The result page will get displayed.

  • Enter the Registration Number and click on the Submit Button.

  • Check whether the result sheet reflects any changes in the qualifying marks. Also, cross-verify the code on CET result sheet.

  • If the candidates think there is any discrepancy, they can challenge the Authorities.

  • The KCET Result 2018 will carry the Candidate’s subject wise score, Total KCET score, Answer Sheet with the responses of the candidates, Rank of the candidate.

Tie Breaking Factors

In Case there are two students scoring the same marks there are some factors by which the tie can be broken. The measure to break the tie is:

Candidate obtaining the highest score in Mathematics will be preferred more. If the tie still persists, the candidates with higher marks in the Entrance Examination in Physics will be preferred more. Candidates with higher marks in standardized marks in the subject of Physics in class 10+2 examination will be posited better rank. The last tie-breaking option to take the candidate who is elder is taken into preferences.

If in case there is any objection regarding the result of KCET, it should be raised within three days of result declaration. Correction of discrepancies like details print on the result, changing of qualifying marks can be changed.
