Himachal Pradesh Technical University

HPCET 2019 will be held in the second week of May 2019 via offline mode and it will be organized by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University to provide admission in various colleges and institutions within the state. A special benefit is given to those candidates who have qualified JEE Main 2019 as they can get direct admission into any college of Himachal Pradesh. The entrance examination of HPCET 2019 will be conducted for 3 hours duration and the questions asked will be based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. During the counseling, procedure seats will be allotted based on the scores and choice of the applicants.


HPCET Eligibility Criteria 2019


The candidates who are interested to apply for HPCET 2019 should fit into the eligibility criteria set up by the exam conducting body. If a candidate fails to meet the criteria then he/she will be disqualified for appearing in the entrance examination and will not be allowed to fill an Application Form of HPCET 2019. Below are some of the criteria that create awareness about the eligibility;

• Applicant must have passed class 12th from recognizes board

• Applicant must have studied Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects with any one of subjects – Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational subjects.

• The candidate must have obtained an aggregate of 45% in class 12th

• For SC/ST candidates the aggregate obtained must be 40% in class 12th.

• Qualified candidates of JEE Main will get direct admission in any college or institution within the state.

HPCET Application Form 2019


Candidates applying for HPCET 2019 are requested to take a glance over the eligibility criteria first before filling up an HPCET Application form. Only the eligible applicants can go for application form filling which will be released in the second week of March 2019 by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University on its official website. Aspirants need to keep in mind that all the details that they will provide must be relevant and correct without any mistake as there will be no time given for the correction by the authorities. Along with the details, candidates will also have to upload their scanned image of photograph and signature. The applicants should submit the form on or before the last date of submission otherwise it will result in rejection of form. For submitting the form candidates need to pay an application fee of Rs 1550 while the SC/ST candidates need to pay Rs 1400 which can either be in online mode or offline mode.


HPCET Admit Card 2019


Admit Cards of HPCET 2019 examination will be issued by the Exam conducting body from the first week of May for the candidates who have been successfully registered by submitting an Application Form. The admit card consists of details like Candidate’s name, Address, Date of Birth, Exam date and time, a venue for examination, etc along with some key instructions regarding the examination. Appearing candidates are requested to bring their admit cards at the day of HPCET 2019 entrance examination along with any of the Id proof such as Aadhar card, Pan card, Passport, etc. If any aspirant fails to bring the admit card under any circumstance he/she will not be allowed to enter the examination hall and will be barred from taking an examination.


HPCET Result 2019


HPCET 2019 Result will be announced by the authorities in online mode from the fourth week of May 2019 at the official website. The University will also avail the result on their Notice Board for the applicants so that they can check it. The result will display the subject wise score as well as total marks obtained by the applicant. Along with the declaration of HPCET Result 2019, a Merit List will also be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidate. The results should be downloaded and the printouts should be taken out for admission procedure.


HPCET Counseling 2019


For participating in the Counseling of HPCET 2019, candidates will have to first register themselves which will commence from the first week of June. After getting registered, candidates will have to make a choice of course and college according to their preference. Seats will be allotted to the applicants based on their choice and rank. The candidates must be aware that 50% seats will be reserved for the qualified applicants of JEE Main 2019 while the other 50% will be available for the qualified applicants of HPCET 2019.
